We arrived at weybridge vandals about 45 mins before the game with others getting lost on the way (with some arriving 5 mins before the start of the play) whilst everyone arrived late Mark our captain went out for the toss and won the toss and chose to bat first. We were all ecstatic with the news (as this is the first time we’ve won the toss and choose to bat).

Have to pause (Enter Vivian Richards aka Terone) - we were greeted to two beautiful cover drives (some sort of drive) which was very elegant, unlike his usual destructive self we saw a different side of Terone. He got us to a great start as the boundaries kept piling on. Mentions to Bilal who made a solid 38. We were about 97-4 in 17 overs and we knew 200 could be 200 on the cards.

With good bowling, I along with Rory Gee and Monis Haris continued to pile on the runs. I was looking to take this deep because I knew could maximise as the heat made the bowlers quite tired and we ended up scoring a mammoth 218 which we felt should be defendable, with me finishing on 72*. No Ben I was not playing for my average.

Weybridges last high score was 150 and we thought we had this game quite easily. With Raghib Mirza and Shmir Mirza (the mirza brothers getting 3 wickets each) as well as monis bowling 6 overs with 4 maidens with figures of 1-3 was just unplayable.

Continued pressured caused them to get bowled out for 97 with a huge victory for us. With the victory we are now 4th or 5th. We continue to March on and hopefully win the table.
